We carry a number of ranges of modeling materials for scratch building of models and for scenic modeling. BALSA WOOD We carry a range of balsa including blocks, dowels, sheets (up to 75mm wide) and strips. We also sell mini packs of assorted balsa. Balsa is a very soft lightweight wood commonly used to construct model aircraft, boats and buildings, it is easy to cut/carve. METALS We carry a small growing range of K&S metal sheets, angles, rods and tubing of various metals suitable for various modeling applications. STYRENE (PLASTIC) We are continuing to fill our EVERGREEN stand which has tubing, strip, angle, various sheets 'I' and 'H' beams. Great material for custom models especially buildings. We also stock some of the Wills Materials Packs (whilst stocks last) which include useful textures such as brick, concrete and corrigated metal. CARD AND PAPER We carry scenic backscenes (WSL) and brick papers suitable for HO/OO model railways, also larger size for Doll's houses. We do not have in stock but can get quickly Framing Mountcard and Centerfoam (3,5,7mm) (card covered foam). This is great for custom buildings. These are sold in sheets only (roughly 3'x4') and I need about 1 hour notice (Not Saturdays). SCENERY MATERIALS In stock is a large range of items for building scenery for railways, diaramas and wargaming. We carry most own brand lines supplied by Javis including, flock mats, trees, flocks, litchen, casting powder and plaster bandage for hills and mountains. Also in sock is the Javis range of wargaming/railway mini terrains, these are particuly great for wargamers who do not have a perminanent board. To see the range visit www.javis.co.uk. In addition to this range we have some ranges distributed by International Models including, flocks, Merkur Arched Walls, trees, landform materials and Seamoss plant material for excellent trees. Woodland Scenics items can be ordered, usually in stock is the simulated water items. To complete any scene we have a large range of buildings and details (animals, people, lineside items etc) in Card, Plastic and White Metal. Most are designed for HO/OO or N scale railways but woud be suitable for 1:72 or 1:144 scale diaramas. We also stock the Scenix buildings and Conflix wargaming items. GLUES AND OTHER SUNDRIES LOCTITE SUPERGLUE PRECISION (5g Bottle) Fast drying superglue for China, Wood, Metal, Rubber, Some Leather, Card and Some Plastics. HUMBROL BALSA CEMENT (24ml tube) Suitable for gluing Balsa ,Cork and Other Soft Woods. UHU ALL PURPOSE (20ml tube) Suitable for glueing most items but NOT Plastics or Polystyrene Foam. JAVIS SCATTER ADHESIVE (PVA) For wood and scatter applications. May be diluted 50:50 for scatter or ballast application. HUMBROL POLY CEMENT (12ml tube, 14ml and 28ml precision bottle) Recommended for plastic kit assembly, note poly cement works by fusing together the plastic and does NOT work on other materials. HUMBROL MODEL FILLER (31ml tube) General model filler for plastic models MILLIPUT STANDARD AND SUPERFINE WHITE (113.4g 2 Part packs) A very versatile putty type product with many uses including Porcelain and other Ceramic restoration and Sculpting. Dries hard and can be Sculpted, Sanded, Drilled and Painted and will also set underwater if required. HUMBROL CLEAR DOPE (125ml) (Humbrol discontinued line WSL) Shrinking dope for tautening covering tissue used typically on model aircraft. THIS ITEM IS NOW SOLD OUT AND WILL BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER BRAND SHORTLY HUMBROL MASKOL (28ml bottle) Masking liquid for masking during painting. EUROSTAR LOW TACK MASKING TAPE (1/4" and 1/2") Low tack masking tape from Phoenix Paints for modeling purposes. Note that normal masking tape is unsuitable for most modeling applications where a finer line is required. HUMBROL MATT COTE (28ml bottle) Clear matt coat varnish. HUMBROL GLOSS COTE (28ml bottle) Clear gloss coat varnish. HUMBROL SATIN COTE (28ml bottle) Clear satin coat varnish HUMBROL ENAMEL THINNERS (28ml bottle and 125ml tin) Thinners foe use with HUMBROL enamel paints and for brush cleaning. PHOENIX PRECISION PS18 SUPERSTRIP (125ml bottle) A reusable paint stripper for plastic and metal models. *********** In addition to the above we usually stock Humbrol Liquid poly, Decalfix and Clearfix. TOOLS We carry only a small range of tools including, knives, disposable files, Humbrol paint brushes, Humbrol Airbrush and Powerpack, Phoenix Superspray airbrush and Xuron model rail track cutter. PAINTS ACRYLIC We are currently sourcing a supplier for acrylic paint to replace the Games Workshop range we have decided to discontinue, we have only a few sprays. It is likely we will stock either Coatd'arms or Humbrol acrylics when they arrive in 2005!. ENAMEL We carry two enamel paint ranges, Humbrol and Phoenix Precision railway paints. Below is a list of the colours usually in stock. A colour chart has been provided for both ranges as an approximate colour based on my own ability to transfer to PC, each shade will vary slightly depending on your monitor and PC set up and therefore online colour may not be exact and are provided as a very rough guide only.
